Why do I keep giving Laurel and Hardy chances? I suppose their silents aren't quite as off putting as their sound pictures but they're still mediocre and unfunny.

I hate Laurel & Hardy

One of the funniest Laurel & Hardy shorts ever.

It's incredible that something so old can make me laugh. It ain't Keaton or Marx though.

Viewed February 18, 2021. Paced like an improvisation off of Interstellar Space — it starts off calm, with a few amusing and simple gags, but its middle section, where the boys get into a dispute with a particularly irate homeowner, is a furious, destructive spectacle.

decent short, for laurel and hardy, but it's still not solid gold.

Painfully unfunny.

One of their best silents, although Stan and Ollie did not peak until the advent of sound revealed how well their voices suited their onscreen characters, and how very creative they could be with sound effects.

This is pretty funny, yeah, but I'm rarely blown away by "one-gag" shorts like this one. It's not exactly that it overstays it's welcome, it's more that its potential is rather limited in the first place. Just not my type of thing, is all. But this one is pretty funny.
