Adam Sandler is big hearted but dumb and tries to be a daddy. Hilarity ensues if you find Adam Sandler funny. If you don't, like me, then a waste of time ensues.

It's just plain hard sitting through this one. The comedy makes me cringe.

Ugh ugh ugh. This is Adam Sandler at his very worst. Terrible, awkward, unfunny. No real redeeming qualities.

It's not very good. At all. Thanks for setting the bar for mediocrity, Adam Sandler.

That child actor was pretty annoying. As was the little kid that kept following him around.

If this was on TV, and for some reason, I couldn't reach the remote, then I would watch this again. It's that sort of breezy type of 90s comedy that comes and goes with a whisper.

The Rob Schneider Project - day 9. A boring "comedy" featuring Sandler as an asshole with an asshole kid. Easy viewing thanks to Rob Schneider being made fun of all the time. After the movie I met up with my colleagues from the Wayans Brothers Project in the science centre cafeteria. Immediately after mentioning my smooth day, I received a call. Picking up, a sinister voice said "It'll get worse soon. Much worse", and hung up. He.. sounded like Rob himself. Oh god.
Schneider-annoyance factor: 1

Completely unfunny Adam Sandler comedy totally misses the mark - even for movies like his. The funniest scenes are shown in the trailers.

Wow, some of these reviews are actually more juvenile then the movie. Good job, idiots. Sandler's apartment in this movie is so sweet. I want that.

Adam Sandler doing his standard thing, with a little dash of theoretical "heart" splashed on top of it. I don't know; it's certainly not the worst thing ever, but it's mostly pretty juvenile and really hasn't aged well.

Meh. Rob Schneider is a douchebag, by the way. That deserves mentioning in every movie with Rob Schneider in it.

A decent enough Adam Sandler comedy, which is to say it's watchable and may even be endearing but ultimately it's neither very funny nor very good.

Ah yes, another gem from Dennis Dugan, the man who gave us the gifts of "Happy Gilmore", "Saving Silverman", and "The Benchwarmers". And thank god he's still working, because he just released "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry", which looks hiLARRYous! (Sorry.) But seriously, Dennis Dugan is an asshole and "Big Daddy" sucks ass eggs.

A Sandler comedy with a genuine heart?! Here we see one of his characters who isn't totally off-the-wall bonkers and the movie benefits from it. The kid(s) teeters back and forth between adorable/annoying, but there are handful of funny lines and situations. "Hiphop Anonymous?" Additionally, my dad lived in Guam for a while and there was a scuba instructor there named Scuba Steve. That's what you need for a movie like this to work: humorous real-life connections.

Toxic, cynical, anti-human. Adam Sandler has done for the art of cinema what Bomber Harris did for landscaping.

Remember when John Stewart had to be in a random movie occasionally because the Daily Show wasn't all the rage? It's kinda weird.

At its time of release, BD confirmed that Sandler had his sights set firmly on mass acceptance, and his peculiar brand of slacker schmaltz reached near nauseating levels here, saved from the scrapheap by the fact that he has made even worse films, although this was the worst one he had made up until that point, and if time has been kind to it, it's purely by default.

Adam Sandler stars in this ridiculous premise of a lazy lawyer who flippantly and/or obliviously commits fraud to adopt the boy who was dropped off on his door steps in the hopes of saving his failed relationship. This film is ultimately stuck between Sandler's usual shtick and regulars and his turn toward dabbling with more romantic/ comedy, with things ranging from "The Wedding Singer"(1998) to "Spanglish"(2004), and more dramatic roles like "Punch Drunk Love"(2002) and "Reign Over Me"(2007).
