Big Gold Brick

Big Gold Brick is aggressively dull to the point where its near unwatchable. The concept isn't terrible, but the plot feels like a collection of ideas thrown together without any though given to the structure, flow or pacing. The goofy characters (& performances), the surreal hallucinations, the crime elements; all act in disharmony, resulting in off-putting vibe that undermines any character development. It isn't funny, nor entertaining, nor upsetting...it's the film equivalent of tepid water.

While "Big Gold Brick" has some strengths, such as its shifting tone and strong lead performances, it ultimately falls short with a weak plot and unengaging characters.
