The final film of Wallace Beery. He passed away from heart problems 3 days after Big Jack was released, and it still was a financial failure for MGM. Honestly, he looked tired here, mostly sitting or laying down. He was still the life of the party, like he always was. He was as problematic on screen as he was in real life. Quite a character, but on screen he always found a lovable charm. Big Jack isn't anywhere near his best, but the man still could command your attention so close to death.
