He has a good point of view. Good time watching this is guaranteed, unless you like consumerism, fascism, you are anti-drug or republican.

Classic stand-up from one of my favorite comedians. The material itself would rank in the nineties, but this isn't much of a movie, and the video effects are super-cheesy.

Riotous. Hicks has to rank up there with Lenny Bruce and George Carlin among the most important (and funniest) American stand up comedians.

Starts off pretty tame and mediocre and gets tenfold better, funnier, and more aggressive with each ten minutes until the demoniacally funny ending. Could've done without the occasional experimental editing.

Whoever chose to add the special effects on top of a stand-up show should be stopped and questioned.

the single most insufferable stand-up comedian in a world full of insufferable stand-up comedians. the format is almost inherently reactionary.

I imagine this style could have been shocking when it was first seen but by today's standards, not so much. So the content - rednecks, pop music, malls, republicans etc is simple stuff, but Hicks hardly uses anything close to wit to bring down this low-hanging fruit. Instead he uses language that is violent, misogynist, homophobic, paedophilic, religious, fascist - pretty much the opposite of the values I understand he's widely perceived to champion. Is anyone really listening to these shows?
