My favorite singer ever. If I hadnt read all the biographies and seen all the videos on youtube already I'm sure I'd find it less forgettable. May in fact be a good layman's guide to the life of the best there ever was

I wasn't too familiar with Billie Holiday's story and this document did a good job in summarizing it. It also provided a good glimpse to the era(s), her songs and performances. It's based on the interviews conducted by Linda Kuehl and the document wouldn't have been possible without those tapes; therefore I understand why she is made a part of the story - and it's a tragic story as well, but it's also distracting and perhaps slightly diminishes the document as a whole.
