Billy the Kid versus Dracula

John Carradine makes an appealing Dracula even though he naturally looks a little more like Satan. There is an unappreciable facet of this that makes it perfectly watchable for some reason.

Deserves high-camp marks for those confabs between Billy and his intended...giving a whole new sitcommy feel to the Wild West. You practically expect to see some freckle-faced kid (theirs) bounding up from the linoleum (and answering to the name of Rusty, no doubt).

While this may be the only film John Carradine says he regrets, the first film of the William Beaudine & Carl K. Hittleman horror/western drive-in double feature, with "Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter"(1966), is surprisingly not terrible...when compared to the other. However in general, the movie's just a generic "Dracula" story, that just so happens to be set in the old west, and feature "Billy the Kid". Although, with that said, it's still kinda watchable for an old schlocky B-movie.
