Binecuvântata fii, închisoare
Based on Nicole Valery-Grossu's European best seller autobiographic novel "Bless you, prison", the film is a true story, with real events and characters. A young intellectual woman, Nicole, is arrested in the years of Stalinism simply for being an active member of an opposition party. There follow three months of exhausting interrogation and isolation. (imdb)

This reminded me quite a bit of Ryszard Bugajski's Interrogation, with the aesthetic of Dancer in the Dark.

Superficially similar to Bugajski's ingenious "Interrogation", and perhaps to Costa-Gavras' superb "The Confession", where the prisoner is male, "Bless You, Prison" goes to show that the harrowing subject matter doesn't really cut it. It's dumbly Christian and really badly written in general. The acting and photography are weak, as well. Watch those other films I mentioned, in case you haven't.
