Everyweek Newsmagazine editor Richard Kurt pursues psuedo-portait artist Marion Forsythe on her arrival from Europe after painting (and possibly being involved with) notables all over the continent. He convinces her to write her biography as a feature for his magazine. An old "beau" of hers also looks her up in New York; he is running for U.S. Senator from their home state, and is engaged to an influential publisher's daughter. (imdb)

Ann Harding is her sweet expressionless self and comes across as the most innocent slut in history of Hollywood. And the film becomes a typical affair between the people that see good in all and the stuck up folks. Slow building romance between Harding and Robert Montgomery, and the comedy is limited to Edward Everett Horton's mannerisms. This is more a charming story then one that brings the laughs. And because of that is a bit too pale to be more then a easy digestive MGM programmer.
