What is this movie trying to be? A horror? It's not scary. A spoof? It's not funny. Competently made? The opposite, actually.

Difficult to hate on a piece of schlock as knowing as this one is; while it never passes muster as horror or sci-fi, it's so blatantly silly and full of sexual and violent non-sequiturs that it remains good fun, and never outstays its welcome. Buxom Pettyjohn gives arguably the best performance, and the hilarious who-gives-a-fuck finale is definitely worth sticking around for.

This low-budget feature alternates between amusing and boring.

Pretty much what I expected. That is, another totally derivative 80's genre flick. This one benefits from better pacing and enough silliness to keep it entertaining, which is where similar films often go so wrong. I always love it when B-films commit the kind of suicide finale that we get here, a sign that the filmmakers were only being as serious as the material could afford.

Ray's cheap take on _E.T._ and _Alien_. The late, great Pettyjohn (looking sadly faded) is our psychic heroine and there's a surprise ending that makes no sense at all. Worth sitting through just for the outtakes shown during the end credits.
