Birdboy: The Forgotten Children

Post-apocalyptic horror film is well served by its grungy and ragged animation style; feverish and frenetic writing makes this feel like a very raw scream into the void at times, which makes it a difficult film to fully embrace - no Pixar-cute animals here! Textually ambitious and certainly a memorable experience, but would probably need a second viewing to truly "bed in".

Even though it stars cute talking animals, this is not your typical kiddies cartoon, but a feverish toon set in a post-apocalyptic world that deals innerdemons, addictions, poverty and violence. But there is so much going on this movie, that there isn't enough time to go into depth in these topics nor to really develop its many characters in its mere 75 minutes.

Its a cool experimental animation and ı impressed but. ıts not a niche or intellectual prefer to be fair. It dot on interesting and important dark topics but linger on'em in a very shallow way. Still a impressive peace of work.
