Black Box

I wouldn't call this one horror at all. It's a somewhat decent watch because of the sci-fi element and story but nothing to go head over heels for.

The script is a mixed bag, but what saves is the performance of the main actor.

The first act is really good and the ending was nice even if it was totally predictable. The trouble is with the second act because it doesn't really work. The twist is just meh.

Like a well developed episode of "The Twilight Zone" that actually deserved feature length treatment. This one is pretty interesting, thrilling, and entertaining, but it is a little bit predictable.

Interesting sci-if drama. It occasionally uses horror elements, but is more of a mystery than anything. It’s a bit hard to take seriously, and it could’ve been done better, but if you’re able to accept the film’s logic, it’s a fairly enjoyable Black Mirror type of film.

Blumhouse goes full Black Mirror in this one. Some promising ideas here and there, but the execution just falls short everytime it seems to take off.

Decent film but not one I'd be fussed about watching again. Moderately interesting twist in the middle but doesn't hold up to the kind of thing you might see in a Black Mirror episode. Also, this film is tagged as horror in most places. I would describe it as suspenseful and a thriller but not a horror.

Although the premise starts off interesting, it gets extremely predictable after the midpoint. It doesn't get too boring, but there's not much depth here. Although visual, it is decent

Much of the writing was weak. It's big twist was not bad, but it lacked the impact it might have had. The overly simplistic way they explained the technology was also quite ridiculous, and they should have done a better job of setting up the science to be a least a bit more believable. The drama was not altogether bad however. It was moderately entertaining, but nothing was particularly memorable.about it. It passes the day, and overall it was simply not that hot.
