For a show built around interesting ideas, the near total lack of anything thoughtful here makes this a real outlier.

Don't get all the hate for this episode. It's very simple but not in a limiting way, in fact in a refreshing way, if a tad too short. The black (mirror) and white cinematography is gorgeous and I really liked the robot dog antagonist. Seeing how terrifying and dangerous just one is and knowing there are many more beyond it creates an extremely treacherous world. The main actress is just okay, but I really appreciate every episode this season having a female protagonist

The worst of this season and the anthology series as a whole. I love the dystopian stuff but it seems out of place with the rest of the series and it's antagonists just don't do it for me.

Actually though there was not much of the story in this one I kind of liked it. The metalhead was cute.

'the mechanical hound' from 'fahrenheit 451' is everywhere. people who read that book, probably will like this episode more.

I did not like a couple of the first two seasons but I do not remember any that I like so little like this one. Totally boring, I did not watch it end.

Apparently, David Slade had a sort of mediocre student film about dogs lying about. So why not just replace them with robot dogs... Then it's much more interesting, right? ... Nope.

slaughterbots the B movie

Visually, one of my favourite BM experiences. Those digitized scanning sequences were very fucking badass and there were multiple instances where the B/W delivered powerful, jarring imagery. I also thought the episode was refreshingly bold and simple for the series. The catch? The lead actress was weak, and the end was fucking horrendous- this series can't keep away from taking shortcuts with its writing in order to drive home its punchlines.

Excellent.

A zombie apocalypse. In the countryside. With killer robot dogs. In black and white. This one won't be winning any awards for originality, but the shorter running time and minimalist approach draws you in and allows a decent amount of tension to be created. Peake manages to carry the episode alone too.

It was a bleak take on the apocalyptic atmosphere with a rather simplistic survival plot. The antagonist was a robotic dog and the main characters are trying to outrun it. Could have probably scored higher with more depth and care towards providing a lead that has dimensions. I think that was the point that who they were didn't matter because they were going to become waste after the dogs got to them anyway. Very depressing tone and rather frightening ending when you understand the landscape.

For the easily entertained. Why did she not shoot the dog in the house the first time, or try and destroy it in the forest? Continuous disappointment with this series.
