Black Roses

This is weird but ridiculous enough to be fun. The plot at least has an interesting take with the parents being absolutely right this time, saying how this shocking band will be a bad influence on their kids. Turns out it changes them into demons and the main dude of the band is the biggest demon of them all, turning into a hilarious rubber monster that's not much of a fighter. The music and the big hair seem totally innocent and tame now, so that adds a modern level of funny to the whole deal.

Terrible.

Pretty cheesy storyline, not much horror, and kinda boring. But the monster the main dude fights looks cool and when that dudes dad gets sucked into the record player you have to admit that it was pretty cool. Don't really understand why it has to talk so much about poetry though.

Okay, the truth is this movie bored the shit out of me.

Goofy as hell horror movie that has a guy get killed by a record player and the silliest gun death I've ever seen on screen. I didn't hate it but I can't recommend this flick.

I actually quite liked most of this. The fact that the hero is an adult geeky teacher instead of a teenager was kinda cool & reminded me of Class of 1984. It's surprisingly brutal with its kills & at times a bit mean-spirited, which I don't usually go for, but I think it worked. What doesn't work is the absolutely atrocious ending involving the dumbest looking kaiju movie reject I have ever seen. The hell were they thinking? Anywho, all in all it's a mixed bag, but I had a bit of fun with it.
