It's as though Goyer looked at everything that made Blade II what it was and tried to replicate that, including adding even more insufferable side characters. Unfortunately he was not aware that he has neither the intelligence nor the talent of del Toro.

There are so many instances of silly OTT macho lines and scenes (not to mention those of Ryan Reynold's character) that you sit there in disbelief and wonder if the film's supposed to a be a self-parody of the series. And then completely confirms it as soon as the vampire pomeranian shows up. Brilliant.

Impressively bad acting, especially from Parker Posey, and the psychoanalysis scene is way too long and just stupid. There's a germ of an idea here, I like the idea of police getting less than happy with Blade, but it's just not a good movie.

For rounding out a franchise and/or attempting to spinoff, no one affiliated with this film seemed to care - they were all on autopilot for this crapfest. As a big fan of #1 (and a bigger fan of #2) this film seemed to follow what all other comic-cum-film 'thirds' follow: contempt for what made the original characters great to begin with. While not the worst film of all time, definitely a missed opportunity and a huge disappointment.

Welcome to the weakest link (BY FAR). A movie filled with crappy dialogue, little acting, and awkward chemistry. Snipes tries to do it justice, and Reynolds would be good if this was not a Blade movie. It doesn't follow the familiar tone of the predecessors and is filled with crappy jokes. A terrible addition to a good series. The Death of Blade in modern media.

This lost a lot of what made the first two great for what they were. Trinity really feels the writers lost the endearing B-level cheesiness, turning a lot of the corny-ish atmosphere, into stupid gag reels. Reynolds was dangerously out of place in this movie, almost throwing off the tone entirely by himself. It lost it’s grainy and dark cinematography. Snipes feels like he was done with these movies by now. Despite some decent action sequences, and a solid villain…this wasn’t it.

Top badass moment? The slab Drake’s under; haven’t seen that much polystyrene since Captain Kirk last visited an alien planet. And why do the vampires there with Parker Posey look like David Bowie, Spock and Mike Peters of the Alarm? Meanwhile, a stoned Wes (the real, first Black superhero), Ryan (who thinks he's already Deadpool) and Jessica (who’s got an iPod, so she can seem interesting), take on a guy who doesn't know how shirt buttons work. 1 decapitation, no cats or chainsaws.

Atrocious. David Goyer, who wrote the last two Blades, steps behind the camera on this one and the result is a disaster of a film that craps on the legacy of the first two. Goyer's fight sequences are full of jarring jump cuts, and his story is laughable. Just how bad is it? Well, Wesley Snipes sued the studio for making him be in it, that's how bad. Parker Posey, what are you doing here.

Not the way I wanted the series to end, but I won't deny, I had fun with the movie. Too many new characters coming out of nowhere, Dracula in this universe doesn't work, and they take out too much of what made the other two great. But you still have awesome action, a fairly interesting final-feel, and hell, I'll always be a Blade fan!

I'm a bigger fan of the first two movies than both, and I didn't love the direction they decided to go in. In an attempt to top the levels the first two went to they decided to bring in Dracula, which seems more ridiculous than anything. Also the Nightstalkers didn't work for me either. Biel was obviously just eye candy with a lazy backstory and Reynolds was just a joke machine. He did make me laugh, but I didn't think it fit the Blade series aesthetic.

Most people dislike Ryan Reynolds in this, but for the most part, I enjoyed his performance. Needless to say, lines like "...take a sugar frosted..." seemed unnecessary, but those lines were few and far between. Of course, our resident wrestler was ridiculous and was there mainly to appeal to that audience, but playing along side Parker Posey diluted his absurdity somewhat. The story? What can you say...they went the Dracula route. I wouldn't have take the Blade franchise that direction

Funnier than the first two, it is at least as entertaining as the second Blade film. Ryan Reynolds helps keep up the pace with a lot of clever quips, and Wesley Snipes still has some kick left in him. The main villain, a revived Dracula, is not as cool as I would have liked him to be, as he was more of a simple brute than the all-powerful lord of vampires. Finally, Jessica Biel, though pretty, was a mostly worthless part of the film. Meh!

Nonsensical, tired, and utterly imcomprehensible, "Blade: Trinity" is the final nail in the proverbially coffin for an already mediocre franchise, a film lacking in any self-awareness, atmosphere, or craftsmanship, the once horrific vampires of the previous instalments substituted for a race of living embarrassments, and the end result being nothing more than a shameful waste of everyone's time.

Not so good as its predecessor. You can see it's played to the crowd because: 1)Several unnecessary sex allusions, including the way main heroine dresses. 2)Main heroine shows off with her earphones and music. 3)We have a child and a cute dog which are both insignificant for the story. 4)One of the good guys is handsome but clumsy (and supposed to be funny, but in reality he's annoying). 5)The story is simple & stereotypical. In general, the whole production except last few seconds is disappointing.

A burn-it-all-down and start again approach would seem an odd way to cap a trilogy, but this actually works to the film’s benefit, creating a stupendously silly series entry that pushes Snipes into an almost supporting role to spotlight Reynolds (in an early Deadpool iteration) and his team. Lighter in tone and more enjoyable than 1 & 2 for the casual viewer, if occasionally suffering from the incoherence of mid-aughts fight choreography; this is simply a solid bit of interchangeable nonsense.

Blade: Trinity tries very hard to move the series forward. They try to kill off Kristofferson which, in my opinion, shouldn't happen. They bring in some new blood; Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel, and Parker Posey. I would venture to guess that Biel looks back on this movie with the most critical memories. Her character was boring. It was really just meant to bridge the gap between father and daughter. Reynolds added some fun that had been missing. Posey was a great addition.

The weakest of the Blade Trilogy. Not an exciting action set up in the beginning like the first two Blade movies. Those opening scenes set the tone for the movie. The third in the Blade series adds nothing noteworthy, instead extending the mediocrity out even further than before. Most scenes feel tacked on or directly based on previous moments from the first two films. On top of that, the little fresh that is added isn't really much good. Other than some rather obvious product placement and a few slightly humourous moments, very little stays in the memory. There's some martial arts action scenes. Stuff gets blown up. There are vampire dogs involved.

The Blade series goes out with neither a bang or a whimper, but with a shrug of the shoulders. A treatment involving a post apocalytpic setting was junked for budget reasons and replaced by a tired plot involving "Dracula" and a script heavy on sweary puns, light on depth. Most criminal of all, Blade is sidelined in favour of some newer, less interesting characters in hope of a spin-off. Since it never happened, this films smacks not just of missed opportunity, but of a wasted effort.

The trilogy's final film is probably not as bad as it's made out to be, but it's not its finest hour either. On the plus side there's a lot of new faces including the Papa of all vampires Dracula himself and a host of allies (the very enjoyable Ryan Reynolds deserves a mention) with a lot of cool gadgetry. On the con side there's nothing that original or intelligent about this and, although it's competently directed and most fight scenes are fine, the good guys eventually prevail way too easily.
