It’s comedic moments are much better than its romantic ones. Another great idea that somewhat failed in execution. Bonus points because Walken and Spacek are both great and I always love Fraser.

Yeah, it's just another romantic comedy. But I've had a crush on Silverstone since that Aerosmith video, and nobody plays a clueless doofus like Fraser. I kinda like this film, what can I say.

Sure, Alicia Silverstone is dreadful, but.. what can I say? I absolutely loved this. Christopher Walken is great, Brendan Fraser seems in a weird way to be born to play this role, and it's just so damn charming. Great concept, and it manages to be really funny. Kept me laughing throughout. "Oh my lucky stars! A negro!" Really lovable. I'm guessing my loving this is somehow related to how much I love Fraser, because everyone else seems to hate him about the same as this film.

For being such a generic romantic comedy and having such a silly premise it's actually pretty fun to watch. The supporting cast excels within the limits they're given and both Silverstone and Fraser are adorable to watch.

This movie really makes the present look vile. But the fantasy of a man from the past who is courtly and polite is a good one.

Top badass moment? As a bit of a dance-floor diva myself, (honestly, please don't assume I'm lying), Adam's dancing in the nightclub deserves some respect. Being able to do that after living your whole life in a hole in the ground with just your parents for company, has to be badass. In fact being able to do almost anything after growing up in those circumstances is probably badass. No cats, decapitations or chainsaws.

Escapist fun that has its moments, most of them due to Brendan Fraser's slightly goofy (for a guy that inherently hot) charm.

I'm conflicted by this film. I know people who liked it and would recommend it and I did enjoy parts of it but despite these good creative parts of the film I still get the "seen it all before" feeling.

Everybody plays their own usual character, and the rom com side of it was predictable. But the originality of the plot and shenanigans that ensues add something fresher to the movie. It's not perfect but it can keep one watching and wondering. Fraser's character reminded me of Benton Fraser from Due South at times: the overqualified naïve polite guy oblivious to everything.

I wasn't too crazy about the first part of the movie. I felt like all of the story building done while they were in the bunker was pretty boring and sad. The movie really picked up when they got out of the whole. The chemistry between Silverstone and Fraser was good. Dave Foley was a treat in this movie but I think the director could have gotten a bit more out of him. Silverstone is such a babe and this movie is part two of a two part argument. I could watch it again but I won't race to.

Brendan Fraser knew Encino Man was terrible and he had to redeem himself with something with a similar plot. With appropriate expectations, this is actually pretty funny and enoyable.

Light hearted, enjoyable comedy doesn't quite delve into the more satiric ramifications of its premise ala PLEASANTVILLE; once Fraser emerges, it's a minor shame that the film shifts into more conventional romantic comedy mode, leaving behind its two most interesting (and amusing) characters in Walken and Spacek. Fortunately both Fraser and Silverstone are good enough value to sustain the film, even as it indulges in various digressions which don't always pay off.

A surprisingly decent romcom that doesn't do much of interest with the rom but uses it's apocalyptic story to deliver some really good gags. Fraser, Walken and Spacek excel.

What a great movie! Fraser is so great! I think very few actors would have been able to pull off such a role, but he does so wonderfully! Spacek, too, is outstanding in her role! She's so cute and fun. It's a really sweet story, and just a fun movie all around.

The themes and ideas of this film are really nothing new. Blast from the Past brings nothing special to the table simply because it feels so synthetic and recycled. And this movie does not age well. It's a time capsule of its own now.

It's a cookie cutter romantic comedy disguised as something different. The jokes are all pretty weak, and the acting, other than the brilliance that it Christopher Walken, is sub par. Crap!

You know, if it weren't for the horrible love story and the God awful Alicia Silverstone, this movie would be a very good comedy. It has several moments that are just fucking hilarious, like Christopher Walken's heart attack, the worshipping bums, and "Oh my stars, a negro!"
