a short film i would recommed to most

Not a fan of horror movies/shorts but this was really good. Couldn't stand the kid but the ending made it all worth while. I totally want to own Blinky.

Builds up very well to a nice payoff. A great example of how to pace and edit a short film.

The sci-fi setting is excellent, as are the visual effects and editing. It really uses the uncanny valley to its advantage, making the robot seem creepier and creepier. That said, the payoff doesn't really work for me (the ending is great, but it feels unrelated to the rest of the film) and the acting needs work. Regardless, this was pretty good even if it didn't live up to its potential. Robinson hopefully has some great work in his future.

Heavy-handed short movie.

A great short with neat effects, this movie definetly makes you feel bad for everyone involved from the jerk of a kid to the crazy robot. Acting is very hit or miss and the outside shots have a little to much lens glare from the sun, like seriously even J.J. Abrams would think it was to much

awful. "be careful what you say!", lol.

Overall Enjoyment: 25/40, Plot/Themes: 15/20, Cinematography/Direction: 15/20, Acting/Writing: 10/20 Pretty cool short with a great ending.

My favorite part was when it ended.

An effectively unsettling little film with great acting from Max Records and impressive production values. There's a chilling abruptness to it that really burned it into my mind. This is one of those shorts that would not have been as effective if it were a feature. The short running time works greatly to its advantage.

Uninspired by-the-books rendition of one of the tiredest SF tropes. Technically it's well-done, which makes it even more of a waste.
