I really don't understand how Schumacher could make something so bad. The film, with its awful CGI and dark lighting, feels more like a random awful Netflix film starring nobodies. My beautiful Fassbender, what have they done to you, boy?

There is a holy grail of handsome men movies and it is this film. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that Fassbender and Cavill starred together in one film. It's too much to ask for which is why I can't tell you much about the Nazi witchcraft plot that zombifies a horse, and I shouldn't have to. Fassbender AND Cavill. Gaze upon their beauty.

Pure trash and total nonsense, but I found it endearing. I have to believe that this was meant to be taken lightly? The plot barely makes any sense.
I like bad, cheesy horror and would have rated this much higher, but the CGI is so bad that it can't be excused.
I can't believe that Fassbender is actually in this...

Nazi occultism is always great, especially when there is a scene with a zombie horse set on fire.

It's a decent timewaster. I won't try to argue that it's a classic horror movie, but there are certainly far worse ways to spend an hour and a half. The script, while not perfect, is laudable for tackling a concept that hasn't been seen in a lot of horror movies.

The 30-minute set-up is surprisingly good but that just makes the movie itself harder to watch, since the rest is worse I could've imagined.

It starts out interesting and I loved the undead horse -bit, but other than that it's just way too far-fetched lore-wises. It's a whole lotta cheese and the stupid things can be explained away by that, but it's not too entertaining.

Loved the beginning, middle was run of the mill (aside from the zombie horses), and the end was lackluster. Can't help but feel like it might have been more interesting if it had focused exclusively on the family and hadn't dragged some random protagonists into the mix...

Decent enough, some cool ideas and unique scenes with a fairly interesting story. With better pacing this could have been really good, as it is, worth a watch

Hilariously poor CGI and the acting doesn't help much. And what's the point with Fassbender...?

Never really made any sense. Surprising that Schumacher has sunk this low. But it does have one of the top ten zombie-horse scenes I've ever witnessed. Also the vampire/zombie/nazi villain is a new, albeit completely contrived, addition to the horror world.

An enjoyable horror movie. Loved the zombie horses by the way. Not the best acting and it had kind of a seventies vibe by the way this was filmed. Decent setup for the action sequences for the rest of the movie.

A really weak, laughably bad look at the occult. Bad dialogue, poor effects and some poor acting do not help. Waste of premise, waste of actors. Waste of my damn time.

Good script, interesting FX, quality production, and an intriguing look at the 3R occult obsession. As for Michael Fassbender, he's not known for anything major anyway; you can't waste someone who has nothing to waste.
