There's a definite unpleasant grittiness that permeates every scene of this low budget effort, exemplified perfectly by the terrifying visage of Tiny Tim in clown makeup, creepily singing oddball lines about God knows what. Truth be told, made me damn proud to be from Wisconsin. Don't book your flight yet; this movie is terrible, like our summers (+100°F), our winters (-0°F), our springs (1 month of rain and three days of sunshine) and our falls (actually pleasant, I just hate yard work).

Although Bill Rebane was a little late to the party with his generic, boring, low-budget 80's slasher, he makes up for it by having the terrifyingly bizarre clown, "Marvelous Mervo," brought to life by the enigmatic musician, Tiny Tim. Outside of Tiny Tim's delightfully creepy and wonderfully weird performance, there isn't much to watch for outside of some full frontal nudity from our female lead. Only for low-budget horror fans looking to "Tiptoe Through The Bodies".

Starts to lost steam in its last half, but by God whenever Tiny Tim is on screen the gates of Horror Movie Hell open and grace us with diabolical mischief. He has a Klaus Kinski / Nic Cage vibe - fully committed and smoking his own self-imposed lunacy - that's distracting in its awesomeness. It's hard to give a damn about the rest.

Occasionally, I feel the urge to watch a bad movie. This one fit the bill just fine! Where else would I find a baseball bat sounds like a shotgun?

Tiny Tim being weird as hell is not enough to save this turkey.

This is not a particularly good 80's slasher, but it's better than a fair few & a large part of that- okay, maybe all of that- is down to Tiny Tim. He delivers a splendid performance as Marvelous Mervo, a supposedly mad creepy clown dude who's actually the emotional heart of the whole film. The acting is nothing special, although Dean West is hilariously campy, & the story will be easy to predict if you're a genre buff. Still, some fun to be had in between all the uncomfortable nudity.
