Blood on the Sun

Too much a propaganda piece mixed with the James Cagney badass attitude. The film came out right at the end of the war, so they made it just in time, for just a few months later the release would have missed it's window. And that's the uniqueness of Blood on the Sun in retrospect, it doesn't come across good with modern eyes, but it served it's purpose at the time. That way I feels it's more a curio in the Cagney filmography. Has it's moments, but overall it suffers from character stiffness.
