Not bad.

Fairly predictable afternoon fare. A little dull but inoffensive women's weepy.

Splendid role for Greer Garson speaking-up for the poor illegitimate children of the world. Very noble story, no need to splash out the extra cash to bring it in color, but of course it adds to the prestige. Heartwarming without it really feeling like a essential Academy nominee (and winner in the Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration, Color category).
