I've seen a lot of Italian crime films and this is pretty much in the same vein, but with a German flavor. It's more rough around the edges, with more social commentary than its Italian counterparts. The violence is also more shocking and the characters have more depth; from the gang leader to hostages and other members of the gang - some more willing than others. German small villages and forest roads help give it an unique look. Maybe not purely entertaining, but interesting for sure.
