Body Rock

The year 1984 was undisputedly the year of the breakdancing movie. However lost in the shuffle of "Breakin'","Beat Street", and "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" was a movie starring the black hole of charisma that is Lorenzo Lamas, in a serious slog of an 80's dance/music video/movie about cultural appropriation. Although noteworthy for a few bafflingly fun so-bad-it's-good moments, there isn't enough here to recommend wasting your time getting fresh with this movie.

It seems odd that the one member of the crew that has basically nothing to contribute except extremely weak rapping is the only guy who really makes it big. His 'dance training montage' comes AFTER he gets hired by the slick downtown club-owner, somehow. Cart before the horse indeed.
