In Borderland (1937) Hopalong goes undercover without letting his pals in on it. He becomes a bad guy to smoke out whoever's been causing trouble in town. And Boyd comes across as a hard hombre. Not one to mess with and it nice to seem him get to vary his character like that. A true cowboy performance during a time many didn't know how-to in a cinematic manner. And on top of that it's impossible not to love Windy! One of the best westerns on 1937. Only wish there were more danger to the climax.
