Born of Fire is some sort of mix of Picnic at Fluting Rock and Nosfluteratu. It genuinely is about a Master Flautist that is an evil cave dwelling creature intent on destroying the world and a musician searching him out to both avenge his father and nail his father's side piece as she betrays him on supernatural levels that will make your skin crawl. A strange 84 minutes to say the least. Doubled with Powderburn for our Garbage Night. We've watched 55 films and this nears the weirdo top.

First half is fascinating with all it's mystery and fantastic elements. Unfortunately the payoff of the story is just "ok". Also cinematography is amazing. Had potential to be a masterpiece, but ends being only very good.
