Fairly bland attempt at a street kids movie. Looks like Monogram took inspiration from the movie Dead End (1937) featuring the The Dead End Kids and Humphrey Bogart. They even have the lady playing Bogy's mother, Marjorie Main, as the suffering mother here too. The head kid is none other then a teenage Jackie Cooper! A far cry from the days he was the top kid actor in Hollywood. But it's cool to see Monogram at least try to make a social film and it does have some sentimental moments.
