Imagine my surprise when I learned this was #4 in a series called "Undisputed" that features a fighter named Boyka in installments II and III. I'm guessing someone realized that IV is an awfully high number for the films' intended audience, and opted to simply graft the name Boyka onto the title for Scott Adkin's latest foray into the ring. Despite the confusion, this fistorama is still 1000x better than any of the recent Kickboxer revisits. (1000x multiplier will not be used on Criticker score)

The story is decent and Adkins' acting is also pretty good here. The fighting is awesome as expected, the best part of the movie is not the fighting nor the fighters it's actually the cinematography. The way the fight scenes are filmed is very exciting and really let's you see the amazing acrobatic martial arts in full glory with only minor cuts and close ups. I've liked all of the Undisputed films and while this isn't up to the second film, my personal favorite, it is better than the third.

Scott Adkins is staggeringly impressive, and the fight choreography is excellent. The plot, though ... they made an initial effort to admit the character's selfishness but ultimately fell back to revel in gross male saviour complex.

The mob, videogame-like plot - the Boss looks like a Borderlands character - seems clumsy instead of pulpy, but as least the clean, nicely staged fights deliver beautiful coreographs, savage violence and Boyka always risking himself for the greater cause - this time around he gets a shot at a pro MMA career, but accidentally kills an opponent and goes to Russia to save the widow; back in Ukraine he donated his money to the church in his everlasting journey to redeem himself through his gift

Scott Adkins is pretty good at conveying pathos through quiet-tough-guy grunting and emoting. Whether or not that's damning with faint praise is besides the point, because we're here for what an absurdly good film martial artist he is.

Kodum mu oturturum. Yetenekli MMA dövüşçüsü Boyka, 1 maçta rakibini öldürünce, rakibinin eşinden özür dilemeye Rusya'ya gider. Karşısına mafya çıkar. Scott Adkins'in harika dövmeli vücuduyla show yapan film, kanlı ve hızlı dövüş sahneleriyle etkileyici olmuş. Yine de öykünün kötülüğü filmi aşağıya çekmiş. Filmin sonunda, Beni Affet. Sırtın mı ağrıyor? Kremini sür.
