Brake

Top Badass moment? Well, I did write a deeply insightful, humorous and acutely observed review about this film, but then I managed to have a bit of a senior moment and accidentally replaced it with a review of Stuck. (I blame it on the stupid, generic, one word titles.) As I can't remember a word of what I wrote about it, this is all you're getting I'm afraid. The weather was nice today. Cold, but at least the sun was out, which made a nice change. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Although loaded with twists it still feels predictable. Had me going for a while though, when the tension is mounting.

It's "Buried" with a little more action and more at stake

Not quite a Buried clone, but fairly close. This has more action but the lead performance isn't nearly as strong. The plot in this has more at stake so I think in that way it's a little better, but the writing isn't as strong. It was predictable but I'll admit the last twist got me. Up until then I had pretty much guessed everything. I'm glad that extra twist was there.

La tension a bien du mal à s'installer, mais c'est un tremplin pour Stephen Dorff et sa gueule de beau-gosse, il ne déçoit jamais. Le film aurait gagné à être encore plus graphique, le final est abrupt, et facile.

The ending pretty much killed this as a great movie.

"Buried" worked so well, that they had to remake it. Predictable, but still has some good tension throughout.

Suprisingly good!

In a movie like this, virtually everything hinges on Stephen Dorff, and he does not disappoint. He fully commits to the arduous demands of the part, making it work as a discount twist-filled suspense ride.
