Stunning and magical. Visual spectacle as good as it gets.

Ambling, meandering portrait of the firework lifeblood of a community, with some unsubtle social points about the toll this takes on their lives (and bodies); as a whole the film is unsatisfying for its ultimate superficiality - a deeper dig into this community would have been better. As a rarely seen depiction of the behind the scenes of public fireworks displays, it's a fine time-killer, with some spectacular camerawork capturing the fireworks up close and personal.
