I liked the William Bendix & Joe Sawyer dynamic. Bendix is still new on the scene for me, so I'm only starting to appreciate his comic style. Brooklyn Orchid (1942) is however a simple formula Hal Roach farce. One of his mini-features, or streamliners. Basic 'working guy in the upper-classes' scenario with a few nice looking dames thrown in. Enjoyable for it's 50 minute duration, but it doesn't leave you with much of an impact once it's over. A few good laughs, there is.
