Absolutely, delightfully mental

Very slackly paced, which I think can be attributed to the (ill-advised) documentary structure, and which makes this story not exactly compelling. It doesn't cohere as a whole, but there are good scenes, good acting, especially from the two leads, and I liked the songs. Watch it for the musical performances.

Pretty damned interesting. I actually thought this was a "real" documentary until shortly after it was over. It's that convincing and engrossing

"Wields its carnival sideshow story about a Siamese twins-fronted '70s British glam band not for parodic silliness but, rather, for surprisingly tender, haunting melodrama." - Nick Schager

Ambitious, weird, and melodramatic faux documentary is anything but "mock." Instead it's a serious deconstruction of the concept of self, exploring the muddy boundaries between identification and performance. It also happens to be one of the best concert films I've seen in awhile, with Clive Langer's songs given all the sweat, violence and brawling pretension they deserve.
