Not often in my life has nine minutes left me with so much to think about.

Bleak, but with light undertones and very interesting animation.

Creepy, Disturbing, Awesome.

Silly commies, we don't sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" on New Year's!

Seems to depict a kind of robotised totalitarianism, but the actual theme seems to be the suggestion that a society founded on advanced technology, however it manages to improve our lot, inevitably brings with it increased fragility and the risk of technological apocalypse and human extinction. The abstract, poetic quality (via Teasdale, Bradbury and the animation) does not seem entirely successful to this viewer.
