How did anyone not write about this fantastic short? It's everything you need in half an hour. Cronenberg (at his peak), Viral body horror, cute cast, hardcore drugged teens and homosexuality. Need I say more?

A mainstream vanguard of "queer" cinema that is deserving of more recognition, Bugcrush is basically a Goosebumps story for teenagers. This short movie is exceptional in three ways: 1) It's a "gay" movie that's actually good. 2) It's a genre movie with a queer protagonist. 3) Although the protagonist is gay, the story is not about his sexuality. If you like horror, you should watch this.
