Weakest of the three ultra-violent 1977/1978 British PIFs. The ghoulish sense of humor and fantasy trappings are an interesting contrast to the horrific accidents (the slip off the pipe is particularly gruesome), but it lacks the mounting horror of The Finishing Line and the Ken Loach-ian verisimilitude of Apaches.

Even being the weakest of the three 77/78 long-form public information films, this film still leaves an impact. Considerably lighter in tone than both Apaches and The Finishing Line, writer/director David Hughes manages to make his film stand out among the others. There are a few genuinely graphic moments (such as the electrocution scene), but overall the film has a great surrealist feel to it, not to mention the two kids have an epic control room like you'd see in Star Trek. Highly Recommended.
