Bulgarian Lovers

All those years of drug use must have taken its toll on de la Iglesia's focus as a director... there is almost nothing of what I admire in his earlier movies in this one. Watchable, and interesting at times (his fascination with the underworld is in full evidence), Fernando Guillén Cuervo seems to be a stand-in for the director's sexual (and romantic, but that's not quite the right word) fantasies.
