Might be one of the best Bulldog Drummond films featuring John Howard as the main man. The story is action filled and with John Barrymore in his last hot tempered appearance as Col. Neilson, it gives this B-mystery plenty of life! E.E. Clive & Reginald Denny manages to be funny and for once Howard fits the part as the adventure seeking crime stopper! I don't think I've enjoyed a Bulldog Drummond film so much since the days of Ronald Colman.

It's like a combination of Sherlock Holmes and the Thin Man, only this sucks in the exact same ways that the others succeed.
