Dutch movie about the life of a prostitute in Amsterdam in the 70's. Although an old movie, it's still funny to watch.

Viewed March 18, 2022. Film 4300. The antic comedy of Verhoeven’s early work can be spontaneous in very compelling ways, as in this film’s opening sequence, a humorous misdirection involving a man returning to the Netherlands and immediately visiting a brothel. This movie isn’t as funny as Spetters or as unusually heartfelt as Turkish Delight, but it finds its director’s ability to provoke fully intact.

A pretty funny dramedy about life as a hooker in the '70s in Amsterdam. The acting is good and kind of reminded me of a British sit-com.

Funny but not funny enough and ultimately just a pointless movie, a waste of time. I don't care about Nel and the whole Greet/Piet romance just fizzling out just seemed like a waste of time. The clients fantasies were quite funny and I liked the ending as well. I wasn't bored but I was hardly pausing for laughter either.

Some funny/awkward scenes, not verhoeven best
