The camerawork was very distracting and not in a good way, the acting is okay, the action scenes are messy and mediocre at best, and the music was terrible and also very distracting. The film still manages to be entertaining in a poor "The Raid" rip off kind of way.

I think I'd have enjoyed this more if my expectations had been differently calibrated. Still, as a rain-soaked, neon-smeared carnival of carnage, it delivers plenty of thrills, with one standout tracking shot late in the game that made me think of The Rules of the Game in its elaborate staging, only if The Rules of the Game had a lot more knees and elbows to the face.

In BuyBust (2018) we basically follow one 2 hour long drug bust in the Manila ghettos. I think there was more killings than lines in this script. Ridiculous violenc! So over-the-top, as this serves almost as a parody of the President Duterte's ambition of taking down drug lords. Showtime's little darling Anne Curtis transforms herself from the adorable creature she is, to a militant killer, and former kickboxer and MMA fighter Brandon Vera turns himself into Vin Diesel.
