I loved the structure, the composition, the ideas beneath the surface, even if I found those ideas difficult to fathom. Egoyan is a terrible actor. I suppose it feels more like an experiment than a cohesive film, but it's beautiful and mysterious and I'm glad I watched it.

Weaves an intriguing spell, even if at its heart you can feel Egoyan’s cooly appraising, even off-putting eye over everything – casting real-life partner Khanjian as the wandering (or is she?) spouse creates an interesting tension, ditto Egoyan’s own performance as the disinterested and checked out husband. Certainly a dispassionate portrait of a relationship in breakdown, it is a somewhat cold and antiseptic experience, but shot and composed beautifully enough to remain consistently engrossing.

Um. I thought this was pretty lame. Yeah. It's clearly semi-autobiographical for Egoyan, who plays himself as the most boring person alive. Only thing I could say I enjoyed was the layering of languages.

Seems to be about things going away, or rather, about things and people leaving someone behind who has himself already left, or was perhaps never there to begin with. Kind of interesting, but having left this film behind, it is hard to imagine ever going back.

It gives you the feeling rightaway and really impressive at some points. But as it goes there are too much repetition so that it becomes a long film even if it is 75 minutes. But overall a fine experience.
