Can She Bake a Cherry Pie?

Henry Jaglom before he quite figured out what he's doing. Still, even with the lack of narrative focus, it has a certain pull. Two neurotic people figuring out love--Jaglom's style is better suited to Karen Black's abilities, than Michael Emil's, but it all sort of works, and there's good support from Frances Fisher and Michael Margotta. In a movie with many odd elements. perhaps the oddest is the cameo by Orson Welles...predictably, his 2 or 3 minutes are the most compelling in the movie.
