Candy Tangerine Man

A tough LA pimp has to balance the demands of slinging ass on Sunset Blvd with his secret life in the suburbs with a wife and kids. Really cheap and cruddy blaxploitation flick, it's got some great funky tunes and slick jive talk, but all the violence is bloodless. You can't get away without having any gore if you're gonna have a scene where the hero shoves a guy's hand into the garbage disposal.

This must be seen to be believed. Loving father during the day but a hard ass pimp by night. So over the top its worth the viewing.

I thought I had seen all the gems the Blaxploitation genre had to offer, but this surprised me. It's obviously quite modest budgeted, but manages to overcome it with some fresh ideas. Respected family man by day. pimp by night - is something that would be handled as a HBO series nowadays. Cool dialogue, ridiculous fashion and one bad ass pimp mobile. While it's not quite A-level, it's still a lot of fun.
