Not a single good quality with this movie, The film is boring and filled with characters that have barely any character to them. Acting is terrible besides for Tony Todd, whose portrayal as Candyman is underused. There is no point to this movie, as we already know his past (thanks to number 2) and we've already seen a MUCH MUCH better descent into madness (thanks to number 1)

Once again I enjoyed this One thing I will say the writers of the films are careful not to destroy any mythology set in the previous films I also like more Candyman screen time and better kills then part 2 But nothing compares to the original Candyman film

Here it is, this is the one the fell off the cliff, it happens to every horror franchise sooner or later. "Candyman" has never been a franchise to deliver plentiful gore or unique kills, the best thing it had going for it was a solid atmosphere and a charismatic villain and Tony Todd is still good here, but the atmosphere has been traded for sheer 90's B-movie garbage, it's palatable here. Don't forget that this movie commits the cardinal sin for horror, it's boring.

The second one was not great, but watchable. This is straight fucking garbage. It's just a rehash of the first two, but worse in every way and more boobs

This came out the year I was born, & I chose to watch it on my birthday. What a fun coincidence, yeah? I bring it up because there's pretty much nothing more interesting for me to talk about in this review. Tony Todd once again gives way too much effort to his performance, bless him. Donna D'Errico tries, but it is paaainfully clear she was cast for her body & not her acting chops so even though she isn't terrible the movie doesn't give her much of a chance anyway. And the story is...crap. Yeah.

Usually, horror sequels know how to change things up JUST ENOUGH to make each film stand out on their own in a unique way. Even horrible horror sequels, like the latter Nightmare on Elm Street films, constantly changed things up...even Jason X, where it took place in the future...in space. It's stupid, but it's fresh nonetheless - CANDYMAN: DAY OF THE DEAD is literally nothing but a glorified remake of the first film with ridiculously horrible acting....like really bad acting.
