Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh

This doesn't stint on the horrific FX (by the Ultimate Effects team, with a major assist from bee wrangler Norman E. Gary) as our title fiend bleeds bees, guts his prey, and confronts Rowan and allies in an at-once violent and atmospheric finale.

A completely needless sequel that can't justify its existence despite an attempt to do so, but not the worst of its ilk out there in the horror world. Tony Todd gives a good performance, Kelly Rowan is alright, & the added backstory for the Candyman character gives him some more humanity that I did appreciate. The Mardi Gras atmosphere was cool, too, & gave the whole film a bit of uniqueness. Still, it isn't amazing & is definitely skippable unless your morbid curiosity is too strong.
