Captive

Mendoza chooses an honest way to depict more than a year in the lives of terrorists and their hostages: a documental, but mostly natural approach. This is more a film about how things change -- and do not change -- in the course of time, while the characters experience a routine that gets reduced to the most primary things for their survival. When they talk, they discuss ordinary things -- there are no scripted lines here or it seems they are not needed. Nice piece of (pseudo) direct cinema.
