Largely ignoring the "end of the world" finale of the original Carnosaur, this movie opens at the Yucca Mountain Facility, a government-run mine which is experiencing problems with its new monitoring and security system. At least, that's what the last crackly transmission said before the communications system also went dead... (Cold Fusion Video)

Yes, it's basically "Aliens" with dinosaurs. (If you're gonna steal, steal from the best.) Pretty funny how they completely ignore the events of the first movie, though I doubt its target audience cares about little things like continuity.

Blatant ripoff of _Aliens_. Jim Cameron should sue, but he'd probably win about 98 cents from these jokers

Didn't know human bodies and dinosaurs were this stringy. And why do the dinosaurs hide silently and attack and walk around with lots of noise? How did that dinosaur know someone was going to use the helicopter it hid in? Some things I just don't understand in life

Tough act to follow.

While arguably shoddier and more risible than Part 1, this is a far more entertaining romp with reasonably tempered expectations; Palmer shows some balls in pushing for full screenwriting credit, when he was so clearly inspired by Cameron's ALIENS (it's amusing to see the low-rent imitations of key scenes from it's more successful forbearer, especially the awkward climactic fight). No-one in the cast distinguishes themselves, but there's nothing particularly embarrassing either.
