An American veteran (Weller) of the Dominican Republic intervention (LBJ era) is running a hotel in Miami, and is trying to put the memories of the intervention behind him. He gets involved with a former Dominican Republic general's wife (McGillis). He then gets duped through a series of intricate plot twists into helping a group of people trying to rip the general off. Em honra de Chick Corea (1941 - 2021). Neo-noir demasiado convencional, nem parece que vem de uma produção só com nomes de primeira linha envolvidos, a melhor coisa é mesmo a trilha do Chick Corea, desde que ouvida longe do filme. DVDRip no MakingOff.

Reading about this 150+ minute cut and I want it because what I just sat through was the blandest Abel Ferrrrrara, I was shocked. Love the ghastly 80s aesthetic and the Peter Weller. The narration is trying to fight the theatrical cut of Blade Runner. Peter Weller sex scenes in this were probably the inspiration for MacGruber.

Its subtle, yet sleek '80s aesthetics will please vaporwave fans, and it matches very well with the hard-boiled noir story. This story of which is exhaustive as it seems just about every line of dialogue pushes it forward and it's enjoyable to soak into at first, but as it resolves, it plays into the usual '70s neo-noir tropes.
