This mishmash of Eurotrip, Snatch and Red (Red EuroSnatch? Ew) is pretty stupid, but at least it actually tries to be entertaining at times. Sure, it mostly fails, but I can't really be tóó harsh on a film where a man with one arm and no legs has a slow motion fight with a female British assassin in an East-European porn theater while 'Ave Maria' plays in the background. ...Actually, that scene should've been the whole movie.

From the beginning "Cat Run" starts running, it drew me in and made me interested, it introduced new characters that all seemed interesting. It quickly hit a drop off where things were happening and I simply couldn't keep attention and by the end it faded to a dank underworld where the generic movies go at the back of my mind.

"The nicest thing to be said about Cat Run might be that it doesn't know what kind of movie it wants to become." - Jesse Cataldo

I like it; I know (and the filmmakers know) it's not the most highbrow of films out there, but not all films should be, some are just entertainment. The two female leads McTeer and Vega were really good and kept things going, as the humour wasn't particularly good,

The reason the movie doesn't work--AT ALL--is that no one involved decided what it should be. Spy thriller? Comedy? The something-in-between tack was completely unsuccessful. If it had been better written...MUCH better...comedy would probably have been the way to go. Janet McTeer's "Helen Bingham" is the one memorable thing in it. What a fabulous "straight woman" she would have been had this been a real comedy!
