Catalina Caper

The MST3K episode was okay. David Lynch films make more sense than this turd.

Television show feel to it, obvious fare for MST3k. They do love them some Tommy Kirk.

Great MSTK episode. Dan Duryea's son Peter plays Tommy Kirk's affable pal, for example. And Tommy Kirk himself lets loose some awesome queer dance moves (he'd been fired by Walt Disney for being gay four years previous) despite his playing a "straight" role. Oh, and the hopped-up-on-goofballs Little Richard is priceless. As is the very hot "Creepy Girl".

Hopeless. Just about any other American film from the late 60s is more interesting than this dreck. Don't dare see it without Joel and the bots

MST3K. Kind of sad to see Little Richard stuck doing this crap.

I find it hard to not like Jim Begg just a little.

"Beach movie" apparently means a pointless sequence of scenes involving scantily clad young people variously playing volleyball, dancing idiotically to Little Richard and a bunch of lesser musical performers, and engaging in other rather mindless exchanges and activities. There is a bit of a "comic" crime caper plot wrapped around this but the only really appealing part of this movie is the T&A. Put the MST3k goggles on, they got some very good laughs out of this.

We gotta pad this out feature length, everyone start a twistin'
