Unsure if this was a cathartic experience for Philippe or just writing from familiarity, it definitely is trodden ground but does have some interesting happenings. I do like the blunt force ending without having to hash though several thwarted escapes.

things u expect (a) some brutal tortures (b) some psychological mindgames (c) hero going full Bob Lee Swager on his foes. ...and u get nothing ;] ...well, after 80mins film tries to wake u up...and u start asking some questions (why this,why that...)..

Washed up actor Ryan Phillipe plays a washed up actor! That's funny! But this was quite good. What I liked most about this was the ending. SPOILER ALERT: In 99 of 100 movies like this the victim gets away, only to do something retarded and get caught again. But this ending was more realistic and I really liked that!
