Aviation film from Howard Hawks.... AGAIN!!! And Pat O'Brien is crazy pilot James Cagney's boss.... AGAIN!!! But putting originality aside, the story is well paced and works strong enough to put emotion into the drama. Cagney is always great even if he's not at his maddest here. O'Brien becomes the rock holding this together while Stuart Erwin becomes the very sympathetic character we come to feel for. While a predictable Hawks film, it's a very enjoyable one well worth watching.
